8-inch Curved Draw Shave Tool for Woodworking and Debarking Handcrafted Projects

WOOD WORKING TOOLS FOR BUILDING FURNITURE: Remove wood and bark from logs, fence posts, and firewood. This 8-inch curved wood shaving knife is a draw shave and debarking tool commonly used by timber framers, woodworkers, and furniture makers. It efficiently removes excess material to shape and hollow out surfaces for creating spindles, pegs, seats, bowls, and more. KEEN BEVELED BLADE: Constructed from high-quality materials for durability. The finely polished beveled edge can be easily honed to maintain sharpness, ensuring precision and ease of use. The drawknife includes a rubber edge protector to safeguard both the blade and user during transport. WOOD HANDLES FOR COMFORT AND CONTROL: Designed for strength and comfort. Dual wooden handles provide a secure grip, allowing optimal control, maneuverability, and accuracy. The handle positioning helps keep hands clear when working on larger logs and wood slabs. EASY TO USE: Secure your workpiece in a clamp to prevent movement. Starting from the center of the material, pull the blade toward yourself with controlled motion. Position the beveled side upward to effectively draw shavings from the surface. Continue shaping until desired result is achieved. Always work carefully and wear appropriate protective gear.
